The following is my experience on what it’s like being an agent in the Melbourne entertainment industry.
Becoming an agent in the adult entertainment industry in Melbourne, is not what I originally planned to do, as a career. It sort of fell into my lap. My previous work background was in Melbourne’s finance and banking sector, but my partner thought it would be an excellent idea to buy this stripper Agency, in the early 2000s…. I wasn’t actually keen on the idea as I was clueless when it came to strippers, but decided to give it a go. I was basically thrown in the deep end as I had no experience in the stripping world and may have only seen a strip show once or twice in the past, at a friends hens party. The first thing I did was familiarise myself with the behind the scenes side of what the entertainers would need to do. I attended a few bucks parties in Melbourne, with the female strippers to see what the procedures were and how the interaction went with the clients and also any response and feedback to their shows in real time. I also attended a number of hens parties as “security” lol for the male strippers! I must admit I was surprised how wild things get!! hahah.
To improve my skills, as a Melbourne agent, I also did a business management course to familiarise myself on how to run a Stripper agency. For the majority of my first 15 years in business I only offered male strippers and female strippers and Fatagrams. We also had a number of novelty Shows for parties that didn’t want sexy strip Shows.
Melbourne Striptease Shows were very popular as most parties would book quite a number of girls to perform comedy and sexy strip shows at their events, starting with something mild, ending up with something very wild.
Birthdays such as 18th, 21st birthdays 50th or any milestone celebration it was common to book a Stripper or Fatagram, for the Entertainment.
However since the early 2020’s shows are not as popular! Times have changed. With the Melbourne Covid restrictions in the early 2020s they didn’t allow large gatherings and so the popularity of strippers declined.
Most clients these days prefer to book Topless Waitresses, as they find better value for money and more variety.
Strip Shows generally range from 15 minutes to half an hour, whereas lingerie or Topless Waitress the minimum booking is two hours and it’s roughly the same price. They offer dances (at an additional price) and are a fun addition to create a party atmosphere! A lot of our female clients now tend to book male Topless waiters to serve drinks and get involved in party games.
In business you need to be able to adapt and change to the environment and to keep up with trends. Having the best reputation in the business we are constantly updating our staff. Majority of our waitresses have been referred from existing staff.. We only employee guys and girls who have previous experience in the entertainment industry. The main qualifications are background in bar WORK, serving drinks either at a strip club or in hospitality. It’s recommended to have an RSA. Being a dancer at a club is not the equivalent of a private Stripper. Most club dances we employ as a Topless waitress. We can organise training if they’d like to become a professional stripper, creating choreographed strip routines and designing costumes and playlists to suit.
I never expected to be in this industry for so long but I’ve embraced it now and thoroughly enjoy what I do. The team that I have working for me, are all professional and have an excellent work ethic! The topless waitress team of girls are like a little family that I love.
I always follow up with clients after their event for any feedback and I’m always happy to hear that the clients have been impressed with the service that we provide at Stripagram. I think I will continue promoting and working with the Strippers in Melbourne for many years to come. Topless Waitressing is a service that is here to stay and is getting more popular especially in the warmer months in Melbourne. I believe it is a service that AI will not replace, as a human experience is unique and unbeatable. Cracking open a stubby and playing beer pong with a gorgeous girl in a bikini is always going to be popular with the boys!
